Color papers (two colors, cut into pieces of 2 inch x 2 inch)
Marker pen

How to Play and Teach the Toddler

1. Take one piece of color paper and glue that onto the hard cardboard. Label that “1”.
2. Take two pieces of color paper (different colors) and glue that to the card board to make ‘boxes’. Label that “2”. An example is shown here:

3. Teach him to count with you when you are sticking the ‘boxes’ onto the cardboard.
4. When you finish up till 10, you can cut them into strips and let him learn the numbers over and over again. Make sure he counts the number of ‘boxes’ on each strip each time. Point to the number after he has finished counting the ‘boxes’.
5. For older child, you can introduce the concept of ‘odd’ and ‘even’ numbers. the color difference will help them to learn and differentiate better.
