Here Comes A Bug (body
awareness, 3-6 months)
* Strap your baby up in a baby seat or
lay him down on a soft flat surface.
* Wiggle your fingers across the baby seat or floor, getting closer and
closer to the baby.
* As you are wiggling, say “Here comes the buggy bug”.
* When you get closer to him, jump your fingers onto his toe or finger
and say the word “jump” as your hand leaps toward him.
Here It Is (body awareness, 3-6 months)
* Hold your baby in your lap.
* Touch different parts of his face and name each one, for example,
touch his nose and say “this is (baby’s name's) nose”, repeat several
times.
* Alternately, take your baby’s hand and touch your nose, say “this is
mummy’s or daddy’s nose”.
* Now ask him, “where is your nose?” Place his hand on his nose and say
“here it is!”.
